How to choose a service
In most cases the starting point is cleaning. The chimney sweep cleans the flue, looks at it from the firebox to the head and writes in the certificate what they saw. If the flue is in order, the job ends there. If there are cracks, crumbled joints or tar, we recommend the next step: a camera inspection, a chimney repair or chimney lining. We price these jobs separately and do them only if you agree.
Which service you need also depends on the document: for the yearly cleaning a cleaning certificate is enough, but for the technical condition inspection every 5 years, replacing a heating appliance, a gas boiler or selling a house you need a chimney sweep's condition report. Frequently asked questions
Can I book several jobs for one visit?
Yes. For example, the stove flue and the boiler flue can be cleaned in one go, and we name the price of each additional flue before the work. Cleaning and a technical condition report can also be done in one visit; you then get two separate documents.
Do you build new stoves or fireplaces?
No. We clean stoves, cookers and fireplaces together with their flue channels, but we do not offer building new stoves or fireplaces. Our work is the chimney and the flue: cleaning, inspection, liners, chimney repair and installation.
What if I do not know which service I need?
You do not have to choose a service in the form. Write what is happening, for example “the stove smokes into the room” or “we are replacing the boiler and need a certificate”, and the specialist will suggest where to start. More about draught problems: chimney has no draught.
